She’s basically multi-talented. From being a commercial model to hosting her own radio show, Lihle Nkosi has gone beyond borders to be a voice of the youth in Johannesburg.
Nkosi has been chosen to become a Miss Earth South Africa Ambassador. She took to Instagram to share the exciting news with her follower; she was rocking a pageant sash.
One of her immediate projects is creating environmental awareness through the #WasteStopsWithMe campaign. It is set to be a monthly school cleaning activity that will run for three months. This came shortly after a workshop with Change Agent SA.
According to her website, she is a “TV Host, Entrepreneur, Model and a brand ambassador for some of South Africa’s leading brands. She was born on the 25th of June 1997 in a small town called Piet Retief in Mpumalanga.”
Having seen her do a lot of great things, despite the pressure that comes with being a student while dabbling a whole lot of other exciting stuff, I can attest that she is set to be the next big thing in SA.
According to the pageant’s website, “The Miss Earth South Africa is a leadership programme that aims to empower young South African women with the knowledge and platform to create a sustainable difference in our plight to combat the destruction of our natural heritage. The programme helps to create an awareness of sustainable development, our environment, wildlife and the conservation of our natural legacy in South Africa, and ultimately the preservation of Mother Earth.”
I do wish her all the best in the pageant!
