Check Out My Runtown-Inspired Photo Shoot!

Yeeaaahh! I finally got to have my maiden photo shoot, after years and years (not the UK artist) of planning. I ain’t even kidding. Back in 2013, I attempted a studio shoot, something
random but I loved the results.

Having signed up for my Teen Vogue x Parsons fashion course even pushed me more towards having this shoot. It happened a few weeks ago. On a hectic evening, we were cruising through the streets of Westlands – from Diamond Plaza – to Zen Garden in Spring Valley.

The shoot was inspired by Runtown’s “Walahi” music video. He looks dapper in that video, man. By the way, I had an interview with the director.

I paired two suits with a pair of nice sneakers; I am by default a smart casual kinda person. So the shoot took place in the evening, with subtle sunlight complementing the exotic location and my simplistic look.

@khalidramirez, my photographer did an AMAZING job I must say. He’s a young guy but I like his way of thinking; it’s cosmic. His edits are otherworldly. I like his vibe.

I’d also like to give a big shout out to designer James Maina of Sir Jay Suits for coming through with the outfits. He’s popular among Kenyan corporate CEOs; makes them look good during major events. He also does weddings.

Here’s my the rest of my look:
